Group Solidarity hikes on Saturday, June 7, 2025

Before our annual evening celebration on June 7, 2025 at the Notch Hostel in North Woodstock, NH (our headquarters), we’ll be leading two different solidarity hikes in the White Mountains, NH region. Anyone is welcome to join, however, the hikes are unguided. If more than 10 people show up for a hike, we will stagger our departure. The “trailhead departure time” is when we start walking; please arrive prior to departure time to get prepped, find the group, etc. See details below!

  • Just want to get Outside?

If you'd like to get outside but pass on the hike, feel free to join us at either trailhead to say hi and join our group photo a few minutes before the hike departure time. Then, we highly recommend parking at the nearby Sabbaday Falls trailhead and taking the 0.7 mile stroll to the falls. Take a Solidarity photo at the falls, of course!

  • Moderate option - Hedgehog Mountain

    Trailhead departure time: 12 pm

    Length: about 4.4 miles

    Elevation gain: about 1,400 feet

Parking:Downes Brook Trailhead (off Kancamagus Highway)

Description: This loop hike features varied terrain and gorgeous views of the southern white mountains, including overlooks facing the Tripyramids, Passaconaway, and Chocorua.

  • Spicy option - Mt. Passaconaway

    Trailhead departure time: 8 am

    Length: 10 miles

    Elevation gain: about 2,900 feet

Parking: Oliverian Brook Trailhead (off Kancamagus Highway)

Description: The first two miles of this trail are a mostly flat (and possibly muddy) stroll through a shady forest. We’ll take a right on Square Ledge Branch Trail, stopping to enjoy views on the ledges that were once on the 52 With a View list. The final mile to Passaconaway’s summit is steeper, and there are limited views at the peak.

*Option to extend to include Mt. Whiteface if desired: 14 miles and 3,600 feet elevation total
